Policies, terms and conditions

Orders

All products are hand crafted and are made to order unless otherwise stated. The crafting timescale is dependent on volumes of orders and the complexity of the item in question and wait times for an item can take 1 week until shipped. 

Orders are fulfilled in the sequence they are received. In effect first come first served. This ensures a fair and proper process for all customers. 

 

Shipping
Customers in the UK
Shipping is free on all orders. We ship via Royal Mail Special Delivery and all orders are tracked. 
 
We also offer a collection service for those UK customers who wish to collect their item(s). Type in "COLLECTION" in the discount code box when checking out. This will provide a 100% discount on any applicable shipping charges. 


International Customers
We offer tracking numbers with every order. We ship via Royal Mail International Tracked for smaller items and shipping for these items is free.

For larger items such as journals and bags, as well as our Shell Cordovan products, we ship these via DHL Express, and shipping charges apply. Rates are calculated according to size and weight of items. 

 

Cancellations

Each item is hand made with great care and attention to detail and personally checked and packaged. All sales are final and cancellations are not accepted.

 

Refunds and exchanges

If you are unhappy with your product, please contact us and I am sure we can find a solution. If a product malfunctions, we will offer a complete refund upon return receipt of the item(s) concerned and subject to product inspection. Please read our guarantee page for details.

Refunds are only valid if contact is made by the customer within 14 days of delivery. Dispatch of the items back to Savanna Leather must take place within 30 days of delivery. Refer to the conditions of return below for more details. 

We do not offer exchanges.

The following items can't be returned
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Digital downloads
Conditions of return
Item must be returned in original packaging. Customers are responsible for return postage costs and associated postal insurance. Return postage must be tracked for proof of delivery and insurance purposes. Please ensure you obtain a 'proof of delivery' receipt in the event a postal claim is required. We cannot be held responsible for any returns which get lost in the post. 
 
For international returns please mark "RETURNS" clearly on the packaging. In some cases customs duty may be applied by UK customs for returned goods. We will not be responsible for charges connected with shipping, freight, custom fees, or duties to ship the product either to us or back to you.
 
For those returns which are not linked to a product malfunction, on receipt of the return, the item(s) will be inspected for damage before issuing a refund. If an item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value as determined by Savanna Leather, and in this case we will only refund the residual value of the item in question.

Import duties and taxes
It is the responsibility of the customer to pay any applicable import duties and taxes. Where applicable for international orders, the item will be shipped with the correct HS (Harmonized System) shipping code.
 
The leather
We aim to produce products as close to the product photos as possible, however not all leather hides, even from the same tannery, will look the same. Leather is a natural product and is therefore subject to variation. That is the beauty of leather. 

We aim to hold enough stock to fulfill all orders, however if a particular type of leather is not available at the time of the order, we will be in contact and another leather will be suggested that will be similar.
 
Availability of leather varies depending on demand and supply. Certain leathers can sometimes take weeks to be delivered to us. We will keep all affected customers updated. 
 
Horween Shell Cordovan / Customer orders
We use Horween Shell Cordovan extensively for a number of product lines. When purchasing a Horween Shell Cordovan wallet, the customer accepts that Horween Shell Cordovan is a hand finished product and is therefore subject to variations in colour and may also have small scratch lines and other minor blemishes too which may not be apparent in the product photos. These should polish and smooth out through use. 
 
Where possible, we try and include the Horween logo in our final products, but given there is only one logo per shell it is not always possible to do so. Furthermore, for custom orders based off existing Horween Shell Cordovan product listings, such as leather colour change requests, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to include the Horween logo in the final custom product.
